Teams are required to provide their own outhouses. To prioritize safety during the event, certain guidelines need to be followed; It is crucial to avoid heavy structures or protruding handles on the front or sides of the outhouse.
Construct the walls using lightweight materials like cardboard or foam board is necessary - Failure to comply will result in a ten second penalty added to the team's race time.
The most straightforward option for building an outhouse is to use a refrigerator box, creatively adorned according to this year's theme. The structure should be spacious enough for two people to comfortably fit inside, close the door, and carry it while running. Employ your imagination to design and decorate the outhouse, aiming for an appealing appearance and durability!

The annual outhouse parade will kick off the Olympics with great enthusiasm. We kindly request all team members to ensure their outhouses are prepared and gathered 20 minutes prior to the start time. Together, we shall parade in front of the grandstand, proudly displaying our outhouses to the audience and judges. Rest assured, your team name will be announced when the spotlight is upon you.

Teams must provide their own outhouses without wheels for safety and excitement. The outhouses must be in show condition and not stripped down! Two people inside and two outside will participate. The inside duo lifts and carries the outhouse while the outside duo guides it. The race begins at the south end of the track, where halfway through, one inside person grabs a corncob. Failing to do so results in a five second penalty. At the north end, team members switch places and race nonstop back to the finish line. Two people must remain inside to avoid disqualification! The race times are recorded, and the three fastest teams compete in an untimed final heat. Judges determine the top three places.

This is a team competition where each team will be composed of both men and women. The Corn Olympics Committee will provide the necessary "logs". Each heat will feature two teams competing against each other, and we will hold as many heats as there are teams.
Before the race begins, the logs (2x4 boards) will be placed at the starting line in the southern part of the activity area. The teams will stand 10 feet behind the starting line. When the starting whistle blows, the teams will rush to their logs and secure their feet in the provided straps. The team's leader will grab hold of a rope in each hand. Using a 'push and slide' technique, the team will advance towards the center of the course. They will then switch positions (with the lead person moving to the back and everyone else moving up one spot), proceed to the northern end of the course, turn around, switch positions again, and finally make their way back to the starting point. If a team member accidentally steps off a log, the entire team must halt and readjust before resuming towards the finish line. Failing to stop will result in a five second penalty. The team that successfully crosses the finish line in the shortest time, with all members still on the logs, will be declared the winner of the heat.

The Corn Olympics Committee will provide tricycles for participants. Each tricycle race team will be composed of three individuals. It's important to note that at least one team member must be male. The first team member will enthusiastically pedal the tricycle for half of the track, showcasing their speed and skill. Then, the second team member will seamlessly take over and pedal all the way to the end of the track, maintaining the momentum.
Absolutely no pushing is allowed! Let's keep it fair and ensure that the race is all about the participants' own efforts. Once the second member completes their leg of the race, it's time for the third member to shine. They will confidently hop on the tricycle and pedal back to the start line, completing the exhilarating race course.
The three fastest teams will have the honor of competing in a thrilling final heat. In this grand finale, the focus will shift from timing to the discerning eyes of the line judges. They will carefully evaluate the performances and determine the deserving winners, crowning the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of this fantastic tricycle race.
Toilet Seat Toss: It’s just like horseshoes… but with toilet seats. With a representative from each team trying to loop the toilet seat on a fence post, the closest to the post wins. In the event of a tie, those teams will back up 5 feet and try again.
Hog Call: It’s time to muster up your best holler and call those hogs home! From the days when farmers called their hogs back in from the fields, each team sends a member to perform their best hog call. The winner will be determined by crowd applause!
(A Timed Event)
Five team members will compete in the obstacle course. Two teams will run per heat. Each team will be timed. The team with the third fastest time is awarded 3rd place. The two teams with the fastest times will have a head-to-head runoff for 1st and 2nd place.
Straw Tunnel: Team Member #1 crawls through the tunnel of straw.
Car Tires: Ten Tires will be lying on the ground. Team member #1 must step in each tire. If a tire is missed, he/she must start over or get a five second penalty.
Gate: Team member #1 must clear (jump over) the gate or get a five second penalty.
The Balance Beam: Team member #1 must stay on the beam. If he/she slips off, he/she must start over or receive a five second penalty.
The Hula Hoop: Team member #1 must grab the hoop and get at least three revolutions of the hoop around his/her waist. Three revolutions must be completed before they can move on.
As soon as member #1 gets through with the hula hoop, races to the line and tags teammate #2 and the race continues.
Corn Hole Toss: Team member #2 will toss Corn Hole Bags at the corn hole board nearest their wheelbarrow. Team member #2 must continue to toss Corn Hole Bags until one of them lands and stays on the corn hole board. In the event that one goes in the 'corn hole', ten seconds will be deducted from their team’s time.
Wheelbarrow: Team member #3 sits in the wheelbarrow while team member #2 pushes. The wheelbarrow must be weaved through the pylons to the line where team member #4 takes over.
Chinese Fire Drill: Before team member #4 takes over and heads back, all three team members must run completely around the wheelbarrow.
Return Trip: Team member #4 takes over and pushes the empty wheelbarrow back through the pylons and all the way back to the north end of the track. Back at the north end of the track, #4 tags teammate #5 and the race continues.
Race to the Finish: Team member #5 will race back through all the various obstacles to the finish line where the team’s race is finished as soon as he/she crosses the finish line.
In the event of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, there will be a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker will be the Judges Choice! Jonathan and the judges might just challenge you to a dance-off! There is no tellin’ what creative idea they might come up with!
